About Uganics Repellents Ltd

Uganics Repellents Ltd, founded in 2017, is a Ugandan social enterprise producing organic mosquito-repellent soap to combat malaria. Their mission is to provide eco-friendly malaria prevention solutions by subsidizing costs for vulnerable communities through sales to tourists.

Uganics has impacted over 3 million lives and empowers women by creating jobs in soap production and distribution, thereby promoting economic independence. Their efforts contribute to global health initiatives while fostering women's empowerment and local economic growth.

Media Liaison & Spokesperson

As the media lead, I handled all press relations, writing releases, managing requests, and prepping the CEO for interviews. I ensured our voice stayed clear and consistent across every channel. I also built strong media relationships that helped put Uganics on the map as a credible voice in sustainability.

Digital Community Growth

I managed Uganics' social media platforms and built a strategy that worked. In a few months, we grew our follower count by 68%. This wasn't just about more posts, it was about meaningful ones. I tracked analytics, tweaked our approach, and made sure every post served a purpose: educate, engage, or inform.

Design & Visual Communication

I created over 100 graphics and infographics, from product explainers to awareness campaigns. These weren't just pretty, they were built to teach. Each visual was part of a larger effort to make natural repellents and sustainable living more accessible to our audience.

Grant Writing & Resource Development

I worked with the CEO to identify over 20 grant opportunities and supported the proposal process from start to finish. I led the drafting process, making sure we met all requirements and told our story well. Every application we submitted met the criteria—and that consistency helped position us for future funding.
